Vaishnava Care for Sanaka Dasa

By Ambika devi dasi

After meeting Kurma dasa in Greece, Sanaka dasa, suffering from terminal cancer, decided to come to New Govardhana in November 2018 to leave his body surrounded by devotees.

After undergoing several serious operations, by Krishna’s arrangement Sanaka is now beginning to recover and is cancer free. He is hoping to serve the bullocks soon.

The Vaishnava Care group has looked after Sanaka throughout his gruelling experience, including taking him to many appointments, visiting him in his cabin and in hospital, arranging his various requirements and encouraging him in his spiritual life.

Many thanks to all who have taken part in this rewarding service to one of Srila Prabhupada’s dear disciples.

Sanaka dasa was once the Temple President of Melbourne temple in the early 1970s. He is now recovering his health at New Govardhana.

Srila Prabhupada Uvaca

On the horizon, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared as the son of Sri Sacidevi and Jagannatha Misra.

After hearing of the birth of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, learned scholars and brahmanas, bringing many gifts, came to see the newborn baby.

Nilambara Cakravarti, who was a great astrologer, immediately prepared a horoscope, and by astrological calculation he saw that the child was a great personality.

This chapter describes the symptoms of this great personality.

Child Safety Training

By Karunika devi dasi

As part of ISKCON’s ongoing commitment to child protection, and as recommended by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian, all management, staff and permanent volunteers in our organisation need to undertake Child Safety Training.

ISKCON’s National Child Protection Officer, Atulya devi dasi, will facilitate the Child Safety Training session. The training is intended to assist all staff and volunteers to be able to identify potential child abuse and its symptoms, promote child safety, prevent child abuse and enable our organisation to properly respond to suspected child abuse.

Please note that the training session is not suitable for children, so kindly make alternative child minding arrangements.

Child protection is everybody’s concern, so please make sure you attend.
